Five great paradoxes solution

1- Unstoppable force paradox

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object? If the force moves the object, then it is not unmovable. If the force doesn’t, the force is not unstoppable.

This situation can never happen, as if there is an unstoppable force, there couldn’t be an unmovable object and vice versa. Plus, there can never be an unmovable object. An unmovable object would have to have infinite inertia, therefore infinite mass. Infinite mass cannot exist in our finite universe, therefore an unmovable object cannot exist.

2- Free will

If God is omnipotent and knows what we will do before he created us, how can we have free will?

God is said to be outside of time – he knows the future just like he knows the past and the present. Just as the past does not interfere with our free will, neither does the future.

3- Crocodile dilemma

A crocodile steals a son from his father, and promises to return the child if the father can correctly guess what the crocodile will do. What happens if the father guesses that the child will not be returned to him?

There is no solution. If the crocodile keeps the child, he breaks his rule, as the father predicted. If the crocodile returns the child, he still breaks his rule as the father’s prediction was wrong.

4- Grandfather paradox

A man goes back in time, and kills his grandfather before the conception of his first child. This means that one of the man’s parents will not have been born, and the man in turn, will not have been born. This would mean that he could not have travelled back in time after all, which means the grandfather would still be alive, and the traveller would have been conceived allowing him to travel back in time and kill his grandfather.

The moment the time traveller changes something in the past, a parallel universe splits. This is supported by quantum mechanics.

5- Omnipotence paradox

Can God create something so heavy He cannot lift it? If he can create something so heavy he can’t lift, then his lack of strength means he is not omnipotent. If he can’t create something so heavy he can’t lift, than he is not omnipotent.

The most common response is that as God is omnipotent, “can not lift” does not make sense. Other answers include the question being a contradiction, like a “square circle”.

Internet Demography

Hey guys, long time no see! I got a load of problems those time, so I didn't have the chance to post anything in the last 2 or 3 weeks.

But enough about me, here his an informationnal about the Internet's demography.

There's not much else to say, it's self explanatory I guess =)

Origins of languages

It might not really appear so here, since english is my second language, but I'm a crackhead about languages. I speak currently a practically perfect French, a functionnal English and a 3 or 4 year old level Japanese since I can  barely write anything in any of their scriptures.

It might not seem that much for some, but I put most of my efforts mastering my mother tongue, French. Making a blog in English is a way for me to learn a little of a language I neglected, which my mistakes can attest.

Anyway, enough about me, here is an informational about the origins of languages, which I found pretty interesting. When you master a language from a branch, it's easier to master all other language of that branch. Exemple, it would be easier for me to learn Italian or Portuguese, if English wasn't such an easy language to learn =).

How to win at Rock, paper, scissors

Here you have it, a strategy guide to beat people on rock paper scissor. It can always be useful to have slightly less chances to have to do a chore, or more chance to, I don't know, driving a powerful car on the way back home.

Asides from that, if you are a US citizen, when you play heads or tails with a pennie, always pick tails. The head side is slightly heavier so there's a little more chance that it'll end on the bottom.

http://www.scientificameriken.com/yr1/coin.asp

Also, it is yet to be proven, but it is said that there are more chance that a coin face the direction he was at first when tossing. So to maximize your probability, start with the tails side face up, and pick tails.

This tip can work for every country, but you have to determine which side is lighter =P

Synergology basics

One of the key of interpersonnal intelligence is to read body language. It can be useful in all types of interaction with someone.

Well, this is a basic guide, don't expect much, but interpreting body language correctly is, in my opinion, as useful as learning a third langage.

Most people who fail at, let's say, seduction fail at spotting interest signs from their mates, wasting their time on someone who isn't nearly slightly interested.

35 Life hacks

Those time I slacked a little on life hacks and put informationnals often but, fear not, this time it's the real deal. This picture depict 35... okay let's say 34 since one isn't true, you'll know which one, life hacks.

I particularly like the "hand as a ruler" one. I use it since a while and it has been useful for me numerous time. (No, IT'S NOT what you're thinking, you sick bastards =D)

Take the time to read them, althought they're not all that useful, some of them will surprise you, and other might happen to be useful to you.

Anyway, enjoy!

Caffeine and followers, I love you

Here is a post on my favorite brevage ever: coffee. I just love how it's always there to wake me up, giving me the focus I need to finish study an exam or support my followers (I'm a little late for that due to my exam yesterday, which went amazingly well however)

By the way, I've just added four people to my blogroll, sorry for being polygamist Harry =P, but there are just so much people I'd like to thank for their support and for cranking me up with their blog.

They are:

Viperman, since he's one of my first followers, always there to leave a kind comment on my post PLUS One Piece alt art on his blog.

Mutefox His blog must take him so much hard work and he's so interesting to read, I couldn't ommit him.

Mr Smith His skepticism and pessimism are quite funny. One of my very first follower, and his story with Lupina (Or was it Lupita?) made me laugh so hard.

Mitsuru She seems to have tons of problems with her family, but she's always there to leave a kind comment on my blog. Last but not least!

I'm sorry for all of those I didn't add, I would've add all of you if I could but it would've been not effective at all for everyone =(
